He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands
I remember singing this song when I was young going to church at Oakland Baptist! This song reminds me of how God made each one of us uniquely different. We have different personalities, different strengths, different interests and different looks! We have different visions for ourselves and our families. We have our own unique traits and beliefs!
God chose to make each one of us different so that we can all uniquely work together! He wants us to help each other grow, give each other strength, lift each other up instead of tearing each other down. He wants us to not only learn but to also thrive in this world.
If we are going to help each other and be in happy relationships, we must appreciate the differences of each other. Nobody is perfect! God desires for us to love our neighbors as we do ourselves.(Mark12:31) We have to learn to accept and love each other just as God loves us.
We can’t change certain things even though we wish we could! But we certainly can change how we react to them! Some people live their lives to make others miserable because they are miserable themselves! It’s sad but oh so true!
It takes courage to make a stand and go up against your enemies, but what happens when it’s your friends that you have to stand up to? This is when it becomes very hard indeed and stand up for what you believe is right. So many times we are lured into what a group of friends or acquaintances are saying or doing, even when they know it’s not right.
The power you possess will reveal itself and will continue to grow and expand as you allow it. That is why we are all uniquely made for a reason! I want to be different and not the same as everyone else! I want to help be the one to lift someone up when they feel like giving up! I want to be the one to lend a shoulder when you feel you can’t talk to anyone else! I want to give that glimmer of hope to someone that life can be lived again regardless of what you are faced with!
How we treat each other, look at one another, talk to each other, the lists goes on, can make a huge difference in how someone perceives us to be! It’s pretty amazing to be able to change and become whatever you want, growing and developing into the life that you choose. It is even greater that you’ll want to create consciously rather than letting others decide what sort of life you’ll have. Never forget that you have these strengths within you.
So when you are thinking why am I so focused on what everyone thinks of me or why I look the way I do? Remember this song! What a boring world this would be if we were all the same! Never let anyone else choose or steal your happiness!! We are all different and will always continue to be different!! That’s the way is supposed to be!!
